  2. Content Management System Defined A content management system (CMS) is a software package that enables content to be managed on one or more websites. A CMS allows one or more authors to prepare and publish information online, without needing to prepare HTML code.

Content Management System (CMS) Defined Typically a CMS consists of two elements: • Content management application (CMA) allows the content manager or author to manage the creation, modification, and removal of content from a website without expertise. • Content delivery application (CDA) compiles information to update the website.

  4. Content Management System Defined (continued) A content management system (CMS) is a system designed for the creation, modification, archiving, and removal of information resources from organized storage. CMS is most often used by organizations in an intranet setting.
