WHY IT HAPPENEND ? • An Executive of age 30 got BP. • A 27 year old house wife suffering Asthma. • Physician told they are due to “STRESS”. • Executive had to take quick decisions but resulted losses to the company. • House wife had insulting / firing from mother-in-low, her husband was not supportive. She suppressed her anger.

WHAT IS STRESS ? • STRESS is a Psychological Experience. • It is our mind mobilizes our resources to meet the demand. • Examination could make one work HARD but another one end up in a break DOWN. • If we feel our resources are poor it is BAD. • STRESS is neither GOOD nor BAD.
BAROMETER OF STRESS • Your best cloths are stained • You commit a blunder and are laughed at • You suffer from illness or pain • You do not succeed in your effort • You find some thing you posses are missing • You are kept waiting for a long time by some person • You are insulted or abused for no reason. • Others fail in their duties towards you.
WHAT IS STRESSORS ? • Stressor can be anything, which you feel that, it is causing problems to you. • However, not all stress is bad for you. • Some stress is essential for our very existence and continued personal growth. • Having NO challenge will only make our live frustrating and boring.

SCIENCE OF STRESS • Brain activate Hypothalamus. • Body produces Hormones (Adrenaline) & Glucose • These Chemicals are pumped to the blood. • Hence we get more energy for Work(Fight / Run). • These will be neutralized after some time. • If it is not neutralized, we get stress disorder.

THE EMERGENCY RELAXATION TECHNIQUE • Sit comfortably, be stable, close your eyes let the total body from feet to head relax.. • Take a deep breath in for a slow count of 1-2-3-4, lift your shoulders slightly above and feel all positive energy is coming to you.. • Breathe out for another slow count of 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8, bring your shoulders down and feel all negativity is going out from you. • Lift your head up slowly while breath in, and try a smile to relax your facial muscles.
