Mon 10/1 – A2 & A4 – Art 1 • Warm up: What is the purpose of practicing shading & color techniques onto 3D objects? • Today’s Objectives:- 10 min to complete & Turn in Color Work Sheet- 30 min for 10 objects in color in your skbk (Due Fri 10/5 - Complete in your own time).- MANDALA Power Point & Notes • Closing question: What is a Mandala?

  3. 10 Objects in color – Due Friday 10/5 • In your sketchbook draw 10 objects with Light source & cast shadow • Do all color techniques on each • Shade with Ebony • Fade out with 1 color • Blend in a 2nd color • Tint or Highlight with white by light source • Use your color blender to finish! • Shade in your cast shadow

Monday 10/1/12 – A3 - Painting • Warm up: Where would you see the principles of art in “real life”? • Today’s Objectives: Complete Principles Paintings • You will create 2 separate artworks that each reflect 4 different Principles of design. • Write a paragraph on the back to justify how you used all principles. • BothDue Wed Oct 3rd for a CLASS CRITIQUE!! • Closing Question: Give an example of how 2 principles can cross over, yet still stand alone.

Tues 10/2 – B3 – Art 1 • Warm up: List or Draw 5 – 10 things that are made with a circle. • Today’s Objectives: - - MANDALA Power Point & Notes • On 9x9 paper, use a ruler and divide the space into 8 sections. Start with an X. Then Divide your 4 spaces in two. • Use a compass to create your circle that fills the space. • Trace 1/8th of the section in your sketchbook to decorate. Use symbols and pictures meaningful to you. • Overlap designs to show space. • Draw some designs to the edges so they will connect around your mandala. • Warm ups/Closings & 10 objects Due Thurs 10/4 • Closing question: What is a Mandala?

Start with an X. Then Divide your 4 spaces in two. • Use a compass to create your circle that fills the space. • Trace 1/8th of the section in your sketchbook to decorate. Be sure to use Fades, Blends, Tints & Shades. • Due today: • 10 Objects in color • Warm ups & Closing questions • Closing Question: What colors or color scheme did you use & how was it symbolic to you?
