Birth Control: A Power Point Part III
So, what’s the argument? If birth control is such a disobedience, how do so many Christians use it and defend doing so?
One Basic Premise… By far, the pro-birth control argument starts from one simple concept: “Birth control simply isn’t wrong, and isn’t displeasing to God.”
Wait a minute, you can’t have a conclusion that is the same as the premise, that doesn’t make sense!
No, the arguments don’t make sense because birth control has become such a cultural norm.Ever since the church embraced such a seemingly innocent, safe, affordable, effective form of birth control, no one ever questions it (or wants to).Observe the following arguments in favor of using birth control…
The Argument of Financial Responsibility God has given us the stewardship of providing for our families. A man can better provide for his family using birth control. It is OK to use birth control.
The Argument of Financial Responsibility Without the premise that birth control is acceptable to God, this argument doesn’t make sense. If birth control were indeed sinful, no one would consider it as responsible. Here’s another…
The Argument of Individual Decision If you as a couple think that birth control is wrong, you shouldn’t be using it If you as a couple think that birth control is OK, then use it. Every couple should agree to or not to use it between them.
The Argument of Individual Decision Without the premise that birth control is acceptable to God, this argument doesn’t make sense either. If birth control were indeed sinful, no one would leave it up to each individual couple. Here’s another…
The Argument of Natural Family Planning God has put within the Human body natural means of preventing birth. God has given us the ability to understand fertility and when to abstain from sex in marriage. As long as artificial contraception isn’t used in birth control, it’s OK
The Argument of Natural Family Planning Without the premise that birth control is acceptable to God, this argument doesn’t make sense either. If birth control is sin, it’s sin regardless of the method, because you have the same outcome (you’ve only found a better way to sin). Here’s another…
The Argument of Kingdom Purposes There are works of faith one can’t accomplish with a large family. God’s work must be accomplished for His return, for His kingdom. There are causes noble enough to merit the prevention of birth that God can honor.
The Argument of Kingdom Purposes Without the premise that birth control is acceptable to God, this argument doesn’t make sense either. If birth control is sin, He may use it (as He uses any sin), but nothing merits outright disobedience. This is one of sin’s greatest lies, the end does not justify the means. Here’s another…
The Argument of Divine Sovereignty Some babies are born despite contraceptive attempts to stop them. God will give children if He really wants to, so it doesn’t matter. So, it is OK to use birth control, it can’t change God’s eternal plan.
The Argument of Divine Sovereignty Without the premise that birth control is acceptable to God, this argument doesn’t make sense either. With this version of sovereignty you can justify sin itself, (and indeed are) if birth control indeed is sinful. Here’s another…
The Argument of Moral Dilemma Sometimes, we must choose one sin over another (like lying to keep others from murdering Jews during World War II). In some cases, one needs to use birth control in order to prevent other sins from happening. So, it is OK to use birth control since it’s OK sometimes.
The Argument of Moral Dilemma Without the premise that birth control is acceptable to God, this argument doesn’t make sense either. Again, this is the end justifying the means thinking, and sinning to keep from sinning is still very much sinful. Here’s another…
The Argument of Intentions It depends upon your intentions for using birth control. As long as you’re doing it to be responsible, it’s OK. God won’t condemn using birth control as long as the couple has pure intentions.
The Argument of Intentions Without the premise that birth control is acceptable to God, this argument doesn’t make sense either. If birth control were indeed sinful, no one would leave it up to each couple. Here’s one more…
The Argument of Scriptural Silence There’s no direct mention of birth control in the Bible Some things that are not mentioned in the Bible are, in fact, OK. God gave us birth control to use in worship before Him.
The Argument of Scriptural Silence Without the premise that birth control is acceptable to God, this argument doesn’t make sense either. Not every sin is given direct mention in Scripture, so if birth control were indeed sinful, it couldn’t be used worshipfully..
So, it doesn’t take a genius to understand that none of the above ‘arguments’ actually addressed the issue. However, there is no issue that brings out this absence of mind more than that of ...

THE PILL There is no reliable medical organization that denies its capacity to abort post-conception human lives.
THE PILL There is a large-scale genocide of human lives going on today in chemical abortions caused by all these hormonal forms of birth control!
THE PILL This genocide though impossible to calculate precisely is by far the greatest act of mass murder ever known to man kind.
THE PILL With over 100 million women on the pill, and even more women on other forms of hormonal birth control it is by no means an exaggeration to say that an entire fraction of the world’s population has been flushed from the womb through these chemical abortions!
THE PILL And yet, there are very few Christian organizations that even discourage using these hormones as a form of birth control (even though their murderous effects are apparent).
