Romeo and Juliet • Tragedy • Set in Verona • Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet • Montagues and Capulets are sworn enemies • Fall in love, get married • Juliet fakes her death to get away from her family • Romeo doesn’t know it is fake and kills himself • Juliet then kills herself • Montagues and Capulets end their feud because of the lose of their children Click on the picture to get back to the main menu

Macbeth • Tragedy • Three witches tell Macbeth he one day will be king • Macbeth and Lady Macbeth kill King Duncan • Macbeth kills Banquo, whose ghost then haunts Macbeth • Orders that Lady Macduff and her children be murdered • Lady Macbeth goes crazy with guilt and kills herself • Macduff kills Macbeth Click on the picture to get back to the main menu

Julius Caesar • Tragedy • Caesar is warned to “Beware the Ides of March” • Brutus and Cassius plan to murder Caesar • Caesar is murdered on March 15th (Ides of March) • Mark Antony leads a riot at the funeral that chases Cassius and Brutus out of the city • Brutus and Cassius gather an army to fight against Mark Antony and his army • Cassius commits suicide on the field, Brutus then follows • Mark Antony and Octavius rule Rome Click on the picture to get back to the main menu

Hamlet • Tragedy • Hamlet is haunted by his father’s ghost • Claudius convinces Polonius that Hamlet is in love with Ophelia • His father’s murderer is Claudius, the man his mother remarried and his father’s brother • Hamlet accidently kills Polonius, Ophelia’s father • Claudius sends Hamlet to England claiming he has gone mad • Ophelia drowns herself • Hamlet’s mother accidently drinks the poison intended for him and dies • Hamlet stabs Claudius with a poisoned sword • Hamlet dies from the strike of the poisoned sword Click on the picture to get back to the main menu

A Midsummer’s Night Dream • Comedy • Adventures of four young lovers; Hermia, Lysander, Helena and Demetrius • Fairies inhabit the forest • A group of craftsmen practicing a play are also in the forest • Hermia loves Lysander but he starts to fall for Helena • Lysander and Demetrius fight for Helena • A servant sprinkles a love potion over Lysander to love Hermia • Lysander marries Hermia and Demetrius marries Helena Click on the picture to get back to the main menu

Othello • Tragedy • Othello is the high general in the service of Venice • Iago is jealous that Othello promoted Cassio to lieutenant • Othello elopes with Desdemona • Iago plots against them and tells Othello that Desdemona and Cassio are lovers • Othello kills innocent Desdemona • Iago’s wife tells Othello that Desdemona was innocent • Iago kills his wife • Othello kills himself Click on the picture to get back to the main menu

Much Ado About Nothing • Comedy • Beatrice and Benedick think they hate each other at first • Claudio and Hero are going to get married • Don John makes it look like Hero is being unfaithful to Claudio • Claudio cancels the wedding and accuses Hero of letchery • Hero’s family fakes her death and hide her until the truth comes out • The truth does come out, and Claudio agrees to marry Hero’s cousin, it’s revealed it’s actually Hero • Benedick and Beatrice realize their love for each other and they wed Click on the picture to get back to the main menu

Twelfth Night • Comedy • Viola cross dresses as a man name Cesario • Viola falls in love with Orsino, who loves a countess • Sebastian, Viola’s twin, falls in love with Olivia • Orsino realizes he loves Viola and they marry • Shows the madness of love • Jealousy • Mistaken identity Click on the picture to get back to the main menu
