  1. SIGNS THAT SHOW YOUR AIR CONDITIONER NEEDS SERVICING

  2. BLOWING WARM AIR This happens to be one of the most popular faults that happen in an Air Conditioner, as Warm Air gets blown from the Air Vent rather than cool Air. You can check with the thermostat to confirm that it is switched to cooling mode, if it is, then you would know that the Air Conditioner is faulty. This could be a problem with the compressor or that your system is either low on refrigerant or there is a leak in the refrigerant.

  3. FAULTY THERMOSTAT The thermostat serves as the brain of the Air Conditioner, it directs and enables the AC to work well, it directs the amount of Cold Air the Unit should generate and the timeframe it should work for. So if your AC unit works for a short period before shutting down all by itself or it does not even turn on at all, do know it can be as a result of a malfunctioning Thermostat, which is as good a sign.

  4. LOW AIRFLOW When the air coming out of the Air vent of your Air Conditioner is very weak, this will make the flow of air not circulate well within the room and this can be as a result of clogged Air filter, Broken Motor/Fan or a faulty compressor and it would require the service of an expert for it to help repair it.

  5. ODD SOUNDS FROM YOUR AIR CONDITIONER Air Conditioner is meant to fairly quiet while working therefore if you hear any odd clicking, clanging, bubbling, grinding or squealing sounds from either the indoor or outdoor unit of your Air Conditioner, you should check it out as it can be a mechanical problem that needs repair lest it leads to bigger or other problems in the System.

  6. MOISTURE LEAK If you notice moisture leak in and around your system, you should call in repair as it can be a blockage in the drain tube that channels condensation away from Air conditioner and this leakage can cause mould in the House. While in a more serious situation, it might be a leak in refrigerant which is highly dangerous and should be attended to immediately.
