  1. Ways in Which Air Conditioning Lowers Humidity

  2. Cleaning the Coil The first step involved in lowering humidity is to keep the coil clean. Besides removing dust and dirt from the air conditioner, you have to keep an eye on its working mechanism. Check the evaporator coil to find out if your AC is working properly. If there is dirt and dust on the coil, you must know that your AC is not working well. In this situation, the AC can't remove the humidity. However, if the coil is not too dirty, it will act as a barrier to removing moisture. So how would you solve this issue? The solution is simple. You just have to change the coil as per the instructions provided by the manufacturer.

  3. Regulating the Fan's Speed To regulate your cooling fan speed, set the temperature to 2-3°C less than the present temperature. Instead of using the cooling setting in summer and winter, apply this technique. Make sure that your thermostat fan is on auto setting and not in the 'on' position because it will hinder the smooth running of the AC. The 'on' position of the fan will cause condensation to come back into circulation and keep your house comfortably humid and cool at the same time.

  4. Use a Dehumidifier Another way of reducing the humidity in your home is to adjust your AC with a dehumidifier. Dehumidifiers are similar to an AC, but they absorb moisture instead of heat. Keep an eye on the humidity level in your house and use an air conditioner in this manner. Here you will come across two types of dehumidifiers. Enlisted below are their details: Condensate Dehumidifiers: They work in a way that uses a refrigerant cycle to collect water, commonly called condensate or greywater. Desiccant Dehumidifiers: These contract moisture with hydrophilic materials such as silica gel.
