  2. K S Hegde Medical College K S Hegde Medical College was established in the year 1999 in Deralakatte, near the city of Mangalore. The objective of K. S. Hegde Medical Academy is to generate humanitarian and competent medical professionals empowered to face future challenges by holding themselves to a higher standards of loyalty, honesty and empathy.

  3. Recognitions and Affiliations K S Hegde Medical Academy became a constituent Nitte University in the year 2009. The college is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

Courses Offered Under Graduate: MBBS No. of Seats: 150 Post Graduate Courses M.D Anaesthesiology, Dermatology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Pathology, Radiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Community Medicine and Psychiatry. M.S E.N.T, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics.

  5. Admission Details Eligibility Criteria For admission to Medical you have to be completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of the admission. Educational Qualification A candidate must have passed two year PUC examination conducted by the PUC Board of Karnataka State with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as optional subjects A candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group and 40% in the case of SC / ST / Category-1.

  6. Admission Process Indian Candidates: NU UGET conducted by Nitte University. NRI CandidatesForeign students desiring admission should produce:1) 10th Std. marks card/pass certificate (for proof of date of birth)2) 10+2 marks card3) Transfer certificate from the last attended institutionPassport and student visa4) Employer’s certificate as proof of NRI status (if the candidate has studied in India)5) A demand draft for Rs.1000/- payable at Mangalore, towards registration fee favoring Nitte University. The payment of fee shall be from the Non Resident External (N.R.E) account of the parent.
