  2. ISSUE TO ADDRESS Needs and problems families are facing with. 2 MAIN GOALS • to create new jobs on field of social services • to create suitable offer and choice of social security services

  3. REASONS FOR OUR DECISION • Number of experts working in City of Celje • Existent help and support that is needed • Local environment is prepared for a debate

  4. Services will offer help to families considering the needs of a separate individual.

  5. ELDERY ready meals delivered at home, purchase of food, smaller house repairs and household work, hairstyling, nursing etc. Services will be provided at THEIR HOME. FAMILY Support in dealing with different crises, life tragedies or critical situations, problems in communication, self-image, educational or didactic problems. N E E D S

  6. EDUCATION IN VARIOUS AREAS - SERVICES FOR ELDERY directions in development of social security for elderly, their needs, needs of lastingly ill people, healthy ageing, ways of communication with older people, age dementia, maintenance of personal hygiene, first aid, principles of safety at home, healthy diet etc. Programme will be certified by Social Chamber of Slovenia. Practical part will be held within “Elderly home Savinja, Celje”.

EDUCATION IN VARIOUS AREAS - SERVICES FOR FAMILY family dynamics, access to work with family, acquisition of feeling usefulness, restraining of own problems, improvement of self-confidence, enhancement of own psychosocial health etc. Candidates will gain practical experiences at the Centre for social work Celje.

  8. FINANCIAL CONSULTANCY Older people are often emphasised to abuse in particular in financial matters. They are often victims of frauds because of lack of knowledge in finances. There is a need for education in expenditures of incomes and monitoring personal finances. Target group: pensioners, recipients of DSP …

FINANCIAL CONSULTANCY Education will capture: • Harmonisation of expenditures with incomes • Monitoring of personal finances • Financial planning • Choice of financial resources and products • Giving information on financial trends etc. In a new centre and other locations Part of a programme of Ministry for finances.

  10. CONTRIBUTION TO EXISTING APPROACHES National legislation gives suitable base for development of such services. State has less power at stimulation of development – it is in competence of local level. Two main goals (creation of new jobs in social security & creation of suitable offer and choice) are among the important ones of Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs.

  11. INTERIM OBJECTIVES To prepare and implement training programme for 3 target groups: • Service for elderly • Service for support to family with children • Financial literacy – “personal budgeting”

  12. FINAL OBJECTIVES • establish Centre for social services • give employment to 4 unemployed women • Build database of users • Coordinate providers of social services to family • Motivate women for self-employment in field of social services

ACTIONS • Analyse needs • Promotional activities • Centre for information, consultancy and education • Educational programmes (unemployed women, 3 services) • Employment for unemployed women • Monthly evaluation • Create possibilities for self-employment • Meetings with line ministry, 2 transnational meetings, expert excursion, final conference • Detailed research of needs • Curricula

PARTNERSHIP Lead Partner: JZ SOCIO Partners: Centre for social work Celje Elderly home Savinja, Celje Intergenerational centre Celje Other organisations involved: Municipality Celje (Department for social activity and Local interdisciplinary coordination for need of older), Employment service of the Republic of Slovenia (regional unit Celje)

  15. FUNDING European funds - ESF funding – 100% eligibility of costs Project proposal prepared in September 2010 (Ministry RS of Labour, Family and Social Affairs) Anticipated answer: beginning of 2011

  16. INDICATORS Number of included (vulnerable target groups): 45 Of those: 100% women / 70 % young Number of employment : 4 Number of educational programme: 3 Number of Centre for information, consultancy and education: 1
