Fats include: • Fats should not be eating every day. Fats should be eaten once a week because they cause weight gain.
Dairy includes: • You should have 2-3 servings of dairy a day. • Servings means you should eat at least one of the types of food for however many portions.
Protein foods are: • You should have 2-3 servings of protein foods per day.
Vegetables are: • Dark green vegetables • Broccoli, spinach, romaine lettuce • Orange vegetables • Sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin • Starchy vegetables • Corn, green peas, lima beans • Others • Celery, onions, cabbage, okra, tomatoes • You should have 3-5 servings of vegetables every day.
Fruit includes: • You should have 2-4 servings of fruit every day.
Grains are: • You should have 6-11 servings of grain foods every day.
