  2. Zacler • Zacleris a small town near Trutnov. • It has about 3700 people and offers many natural and historical beauties. • It is a nice place in the north of the Czech Republic.

  3. History of Zacler • Zacler was founded in 1334. • It served as a guarding town on the road to poland.

  4. Coal-mining • In Zacler there was a big mining centre. • Coal was mined from 1570 to 1992. After mining, the mines serve for tourists.

  5. Surroundings of Zacler • Zacler is in a mountainous territory. • In the Giant Mountains there is the highest mountain in the CZECH REPUBLIC - Snezka • Near Zacler there is Rychorsky prales which is the most beautiful part of the Rychory. • The Rychory are the most eastern and at the same time very beautiful part of the Giant Mountains.

  6. Skiing in Zacler • Zacler is a very good place for skiing. • The Area of Prkenny Dul has 7 ski lifts. • 4 lifts are called Arrakis and 3lifts are Bret.

  7. Tips for trips • Military fortress stachelberg is about 7 kilometres far from zacler. • In the past it was a very important fortress Forthe defence against fascist germany.

  8. Cultural Trip • Ruzovy paloucek(rose glade) is very important because J.A.Komensky („the teacher of nations“) left his homeland here when he was forced to emigrate in . • The rose glade is a very beatiful place which is about 2 km far from Zacler.

  9. Rýchorský prales (forest) is the most nicest place in Zacler. In the forest is the most rare plant in neighbourhood of Zacler.
