Roshydromet IITS/R-WIS Overview • Roshydromet Integrated Information & Telecom System (IITS) Programme adopted • Russian WIS segment (GISC-Moscow and 8 DCPC) will provide a data management infrastructure of IITS • Approach is to use standartizided soft components as «a building blocks» for all R-WIS/IITS nodes • Prototypes of GISC-Moscow/DCPC-Obninsk are ready and it’s testing is in process

IITS/R-WIS and OpenWIS 1-st Seminar on WIS (Roshydromet-MFI), Мoscow, Feb. 2011 2-ndSeminar on WIS (Roshydromet–MFI), Toulouse, Oct. 2011 Main outputs and decisions • There are common vision on WIS implementation • RHM has been joined to OpenWIS Consortium as Associate Partner and will provide soft contribution to OPenWIS • R-WIS will be based on hybrid solutions combining RHM modules and OpenWIS modules • R-WIS first priority is GISC-Moscow before April 2012, ready for WMO audit in May 2012 • R-WIS plans to use for GISC-Moscow (i) OpenWIS modules; (2) assistance services, provided by MFI • MFI will introducing RHM solution for WIS portal into OpenWIS • RHM shown interest to use OpenWIS and MFI experience for IITS design and development
