  5. ● We have to determine whether the blinds are made out of a stiff/hard fabric or a soft fabric because there are different cleaning methods for different types of fabrics.

  6. The hard fabrics are easier to clean because these can just be wiped with a damp cloth, and there’s no need to have them taken down.

  7. The soft fabrics are a little trickier because these need to be carefully taken down.

  8. We can use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from our Roman blinds weekly, but not those big vacuum cleaners!

  9. A handheld vacuum cleaner or even a fabric brush is enough for a weekly dust removal.

  10. However a vacuum cleaner is not recommended if the Roman blinds have decorative needlework like woven embroidery or quilting.
