  3. if we’re really going for a minimalist and modern home design, window shutters can be our best bet when it comes to window treatments.

  4. Cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of window shutters is also a lot easier than doing the same on curtains, saving us a lot of time and effort.

  5. Here are a few tips that can help us keep our window shutters squeaky clean:

  6. Lightly vacuum the shutters using the soft brush attachment on the vacuum cleaner hose to remove any accumulated dust on the shutters.

  7. ● Refrain from using plastic dusters, instead use a lamb’s wool duster. Dust in the same motion as vacuuming, across and not up and down, and start from the top slat.

  8. For wooden window shutters, we have to thoroughly dust them using wood polish.

  9. If we own vertical shutters, we have to dust and vacuum from the top to the bottom.
