Framework for Cycle 5 To improve student learning through initiatives that enhance student engagement and performance and reflect the unique needs and circumstances of each school and/or school authority.
Cycle 5 evolution • The development of the PLRD Student Engagement Model (correlates of effective schools) will drive all of our decisions regarding governance within Prairie Land Regional Division #25.

Umbrella Question • What is the impact of PLRD’s 21st century classroom competencies on student engagement and achievement? • 21st Century Classroom Competencies (PLRD #25) • Affective and Cognitive Domains (Alberta Education)
Data Collection (District) • Academic results as stipulated by provincial exams, in addition to the Tell Them From Me Survey. • Provincial exam data from Cycle 4 will be used to get a more accurate picture of how PLRD classrooms are progressing throughout our AISI projects. • Community Engagement will need to be measured by the use of the Accountability Pillar and school anecdotal feedback.
Data Collection (School) • Individual schools will have the latitude of identifying their own measures from the TTFM surveys (as they relate to their identified question). • Individual schools will develop their own “dip-stick measures” that are aligned with their specific projects. • Community Engagement will need to be measured by the use of the Accountability Pillar and school anecdotal feedback.
