Cowboys. By: Lauren Zary. Buffalo Bill. Bill earned his nickname while supplying Kansas Pacific Railroad workers with buffalo meat. Bill is one of many famous cowboys. Cowboy’s clothes are the same old same, Levi Jeans, a plaid shirt and of course their cowboy hat….and maybe a lasso.

  4. Competitions This Is Bull Riding This Is A Fast Draw This is Cattle Roping This Is a Barrel Race

  5. Fast Draw • A Fast draw is where two cowboys stand 5 meters apart, their hand ready to pull their gun out of the holster and the shoot the opponent. I’m pretty sure it’s illegal now

  6. Bull Riding • Bull Riding is a common competition. The goal is to stay on the bucking bull for as long as possible.

  7. Cattle Roping • The first person to tackle, rope the cattle and tie it up wins this competition.

  8. BarrelRacing • Barrel racing is another cowboy competition. A cowboy is mounted on the horse and must weave around a series of barrels. The lowest time wins, but if a competitor knocks down a barrel they add time for every barrel knocked down.
