Results of the survey of companies about the required skills and qualifications of the target group Target group (TG): school leavers younger than 25 years old who has finished successfully a vocational training. Nr. of surveyed companies: N = 30.

Satisfactionwiththequalifications and skills of the TG • Their practical experience is less than required, and their theoretical knowledge is not necessarily useful. • They are too frequently absent and they have no motivation. • They are motivated, capable, and flexible. • We aim at selecting the most appropriate candidates, therefore we are content with entrants working at our company.

6 . Special strategy or practice of training the TG • General introduction to the company, the field of work, instructions and quality controll. • Internal training for new colleagues. • Carrier path for entrants. • The company participates in trainings of vocational school students. • The company operates a mentoring system.
10. Is the education system flexible enough to meet the needs of the labour market?
10. Abouttheeducation system • It lacks continuous communication with the agents of the labour market. • It does not fulfil the needs of the labour market. • School leavers often possess a knowledge outdated already. • The tendency is satisfactory.
11. The practical part of education • Applicable knowledge is the most useful and most important. • Hungarian education nowadays emphasises theoretical knowledge instead of practice. • Employers have to compensate for practical education missed out at school – therefore they try to avoid employing entrants. • Practical trainings arranged at different companies would be highly useful. • Theoretical education would benefit from more practice as well.
