  2. Els bastoners The dance of “Bastons” is considered heir of the old warlike dances of swords and of other weapons. It has been and it is very extended in all Catalonia, and it is without doubt the oldest of them that still they are danced.

  3. Capgrossos In Catalonia, land of giants, also we find important bequeathed of big head dwarves, who from time very distant have appeared next to the Giants.

  4. Gegants The Giants are figures consisting in big dolls of wood and cardboard of great proportions. The origin is uncertain, and is has tradition in several European countries.

  5. Castellers The Castellers make own human contructions of the Catalan culture. The “castellers” groups are formed by different ages people.

  6. Sardana Communal dance intimately bound up with Catalan national consciousness. It is danced by men and women who join hands alternately in closed circle.
