History • (CWC) Capitol Wrestling Corporation was the beginning in 1952. • CWC joined the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in 1953. In 1954 Roderick James McMahon died. His son Vincent McMahon Sr. to take over.
History • 1963 CWC left the NWA and created WWWF. World Wide Wrestling Federation • IN 1979 the WWWF was switched to WWF, World Wrestling Federation for marketing purposes. • In 1980 Vincent J. McMahon founded Titan Sports and bought out CWC in 1982. This began the wrestling boom.

WWF • WWF purchased WCW ( World Championship Wrestling) in 2001, and that was its closest competitor. • In 2003, WWF purchased ECW , ( Extreme Championship Wrestling)
