LATS LA visits – Objectives & Timetable • Look at processes & systems in place to collect, quality assure & report LATS data. • Aims; • To identify best practise • To share common issues • To look at ways to improve data consistency & accuracy • Prioritisation exercise during February • EA team to visit 24 local authorities during March & April • Feedback to those LAs by end May • Publication of findings by end June

LATS LA visits – Prioritisation criteria • Risk-based desktop exercise covering; • Reporting & validation compliance • Training & succession planning of staff for WDF • Communicating with WDF Helpdesk • Variations in reported MSW over time • Recycling & diversion rates • Exporting MSW • Using MRFs • All authorities will be visited over 3 years.
