  2. 1st December All of the class do ten star jumps and shout ‘Merry Christmas’ each time. Back

  3. 2nd December Split into four teams. Pass a bean bag / Christmas object over each one of your heads in the line. The first team to pass it to the back, sit down and shout ‘Frosty the Snowman!’ wins! Back

  4. 3rd December Someone roll a dice and the class do that amount of press-ups. Back

  5. 4th December Someone count down from ten, saying ‘ten Christmas trees, nine Christmas trees’ and so on while the whole class does sit-ups. Back

  6. 5th December Take a deep breath and all stand in tree pose. Hold the pose for as long as you can hold your breath for. Sit down when you need to breathe again! Back

  7. 6th December All the class sit in a tuck position. Keep breathing and gently rock backwards and forwards whilst humming ‘Jingle Bells’. Back

  8. 7th December All the class walk outside to the playground. Then run around the playground twice. Back

  9. 8th December Everyone stand tall and breathe slowly. Carefully stretch your arms out wide. Slowly lean forwards, tighten your tummy, keep breathing, take one foot off the floor and move into aeroplane pose. Imagine you are Rudolph leading Santa’s sleigh. Back

  10. 9th December Everyone stand on their tiptoes and try to balance for as long as you can. Sit down when youlose your balance. Back

  11. 10th December Pirate Ship - An adult or child to shout the orders: Climb the rigging (mime climbing) Captain’s aboard (stand straight and salute, ‘Aye Aye Captain!’) Scrub the deck (scrub the floor) Father Christmas on board(shout ‘Ho, HoHo!’ whilstholding a big sack of presents) Back

  12. 11th December Sing ‘Jingle Bells’ while the teacher or a child shouts out a command, e.g. jumping, hopping, walking or tiptoeing. Continue singing whilecarrying out the movement. Back

  13. 12th December Hop on one foot ten times. Swap legs and do 10 more. Back

  14. 13th December Bean Game - Teacher or child to shout out: Runner Bean (run on the spot) Jelly Bean (wobble like a jelly) Frozen Bean (freeze) Christmas Pudding (puff up and stride out) Back

  15. 14th December Take a deep breath and all stand in tree pose. Hold the pose for as long as you can hold your breath for. Sit down when you need to breathe again! Back
