Find your number on the back cabinet and sit in your assigned seat. On a sheet of notebook paper, you have five minutesto write about the following prompt. Your title is “Christmas Day.” On Christmas day, I ____________________________. Be specific about your experiences, the people you were with, and any other pertinent details about your day. Yes, this will require you to write several sentences. 

Find your # on the back cabinet and sit in your assigned seat. Write twoof the following blurry sentences on a sheet of notebook paper. Skip ten lines between the two sentences. Your title is “Binocular Focus.” The child walked home by himself. Ashton was a disgusting eater. Mrs. Yarbar had a bizarre way of punishing her students. My friends and I enjoyed the beautiful day. Refer back to your “Binocular” handout from 1/04 if necessary. For EACH of the two sentences you chose, write a minimum of five sentences which bring the image into focus. You have twelve (12) minutes to complete this assignment.

  5. Don’t forget about your BFF Imagine that … You are waiting on your order at Sonic and a mystery person runs up to you. This person hands you a bag and states breathlessly, “I can’t explain now, but I need you to hold this bag for me. I will contact you later.” He looks behind himself anxiously and runs off. You take the bag and decide the mystery is too great so you remove contents. The 4 objects inside the bag are clues to who the person is, who he or she is running from, and what is going on. Write a a 1 to 1 ½ page story about how these objects go together, who the person is, and the story behind the mysterious circumstances.

Your title is “Binocular Focus- Drummer.” On notebook paper, use your binoculars to write five sentences taking your reader into a day in the life of the drummer in the picture.
