  5. Handshake Problem • Problem: The Handshake problem. There are 8 people in a group and they all shake hands with each other. How many total handshakes will that be? • Facts: a. 8 people • b. Everyone must shakes hands with everyone else • c. Need a total • Question: How many total handshakes occur? • Strategy: Act it out, make a diagram Read this problem carefully.
