Intransit Port linkage with DWS Presentation by: PE Team For Agents Internal Reference only
Highlights • In-transit Port can be added for a Draft / Confirmed Booking. • In-transit Port can also be updated at Bill level, however the same has to be updated in booking and charges have to be refreshed through Auto Tariff. This will control the CSU charge removal through FCN for East Africa shipments with Intransit ports. • Intransit Port can be added / Changed / Deleted through Correction Notes (COD) after BL issuance. Waiver to be auto approved when correction notes is Approved by all involved Parties. • Intransit Port field to get activated for user Input when POD is KEMBA or TZDAR. News Ports can be mapped accordingly. • Intransit Port can be updated even after the container is load confirmed. However once Bill of lading is confirmed or Issued then Intransit Port cannot be updated. • BL Issued with Intransit Port will trigger AUTO application and AUTO approval in Demurrage waiver system with the pre-defined Intransit Values. • Auto Approval Date and time stamp is recorded by the system.
Screen Shots in LRP. Fields will get activated only when POD is KEMBA or TZDAR. Note: If there is Intransit Port mentioned in Booking or Bill, then CSU charge will not be extracted, hence eliminating the requirement of creating FCN later.
Important Points to Remember • DWS for Intransit port will auto apply and auto approve only after the Bill of lading is ISSUED. • Intransit Port cannot be updated for Part Lot Bills at Bill of lading Level. When the part-lots are issued, then DWS will take the first Port lot bill into account for Demurrage waiver auto approval. • Intransit Ports with free days are Pre-defined for a POD. • For shipments currently in Water with Intransit cargo there will not be any change and will have to be manually applied in DWS as per the process. For future shipments Intransit Ports can be defined through LRP. • LRP will auto apply and auto approve in DWS for Intransit change only after COD type FCN is approved by the discharging Port, Operations and by commercial Team. • Appropriate remarks have to be entered by the agency users while applying for COD FCN for any change of Intransit. • If user is changing the COD from East Africa Ports to any other country where Intransit is Not applicable, then user will have to manually change the same in Detention waiver system. We are working on automation of this Process.
