Phil Eitman's California dream comes true every summertime. Phil loves his San Diego summers. He loves his seasonal job as a fisherman and host cook; and with San Diego’s constant swells he gets to do all the surfing he wants. The ability to come out every year during the warmest months and live simply is a blessing for his lifestyle. Surfing is something that Phil can do in order to find a certain inner peace, to achieve an inner calmness that cannot be emulated anywhere else but on the water.

  1. Phil EitmanWell Traveled Phil Eitman spends his winters in Park City, UT and summers in San Diego, CA. And the whole time, he’s riding. He rides boards year round, it’s just a matter of whether he’s riding one in the mountains or in the ocean. He’s a caterer for six months of the year, then he is a fisherman the other half. Phil has worked his way into living the dream life, something that he says is only a matter of time and discipline, as well as the willingness to get through the harder things.

Phil EitmanSnowboarding In Salt Lake City, Phil Eitman has access to a multitude of resorts that all have a wide variety of terrain as well as more trails and good snow than most other places on the Northern Hemisphere. Phil loves to go snowboarding and the sport has been his reason to return to the mountains every wintertime. Phil says that he lives to conquer the next summit, to push himself to the extreme and rise above his own fear to truly become acquainted with his inner self.

  4. Phil EitmanWave after Wave Phil Eitman has been surfing his whole life, ever since his parents first took him to California when he was a child. Now decades later, he goes to San Diego every summer to do exactly that. Phil loves to go surfing in the summertime when he moves to San Diego to live as a fisherman and enjoy one of his favorite recreational hobbies in his free time. Phil just hopes that one day he can show others how great this lifestyle is.
