Messaging • Dynamic email filtering: calendar, rolodex, communication history • Desktop knows everything: all email passes through it • Unify email appearance: all email from me has same address • Hide pager address: no one else but my computer should decide which emails I receive!
Information Requests • Desktop: e.g., rolodex, to do list, calendar • Internet: e.g., weather reports, traffic information, stock quotes, definitions • Operating System: UNIX command line, pager as a remote text terminal!
