When it comes to size, cars are divided into three types: 2-door coupes, 4-door sedans, and SUV’s. The 2-door coupes, for example Toyota Celica, are usually driven by a single driver or a couple without children. The hybrid cars are cars that run mainly on electricity and need less petrol than the regular cars. The 4-door sedans, for instance Toyota Camry, can have up to five passengers as the back doors allow easy entry for up to three passengers. Countries like the USA, Germany, and Japan are considered among the biggest car makers in the world. Finally, the SUV’s, like the Toyota Land Cruiser and GMC Yukon, are four-wheel drives (4WD or 4×4) which have five to seven seats, used for large families, and can be driven off-road.

The sentences highlighted in red are irrelevant. Why? The topic of the paragraph, as stated in the topic sentence, is car types according to size. Sentence (1) talks about a car type according to petrol consumption, i.e. petrol use, not according to size. Sentence (2) talks about the countries which are famous for making cars. Both sentences have nothing to do with the topic of the paragraph.
