(Indirect Speech).
Если прямая речь выражает приказание, то глагол to sayсказать в словах, вводящих прямую речь, заменяется глаголом to tellвелеть,сказатьили to orderприказывать. He said, “Shut the door, Ann.” He toldAnnto shut the door. He said to us, “Go there at once!” He toldus to go there at once. Или He orderedusto gothere at once. I said to Bob, “Open the window, please.” IaskedBobto open the window.
В косвенной речи после глаголов to tell, to order, to ask всегда следуетлицо (существительное или местоимение), которому адресовано приказание (просьба ), а затем инфинитив. The woman said to the boy, “Don’t cry”. The woman told ( asked, ordered ) the boynot to cry.
Для выражения просьбы или команды в косвенной речи часто употребляются глаголы: to beg - просить, умолять to urge - настаивать to remind- напоминать to warn- предостерегать, предупреждать to advise- советовать to recommend- рекомендовать to invite- приглашать She said, “Please help me.” She beggedthem(us)to help her.
