CensusScope CensusScope is an easy-to-use tool for investigating demographic trends. With eye-catching graphics and detailed trend data, CensusScope is designed for both generalists and specialists.
CensusScope CensusScope was designed, developed and programmed by associates of SSDAN. Since the site’s launch in 2001, it has received numerous awards and excellent reviews. CensusScope was selected as a Yahoo! Picks “Site of the Day,” named a USA Today “Hot Site,” and featured on National Public Radio.
CensusScope CensusScope’s charts, maps, and rankings depict some of the most important trends affecting the country. It provides access to data at the broad national level as well as at smaller geographic locations such as states, counties and metropolitan areas.
DataCounts! DataCounts! is an interactive website designed to help integrate social statistics into the classroom setting. It houses an archive of datasets and teaching modules created for SSDAN’s Census in the Classroom project, which provides educators with resources to incorporate data analysis exercises into their curricula.
DataCounts! When conceptual population trends are illustrated with specific statistics, students gain a better understanding of the world in which they live. WebCHIP, an integral part of DataCounts!, empowers students by giving them the means to analyze data relating to changes in today’s society. The vast amount of data that can be accessed using WebCHIPinculdesdicennial and trend data from the U.S. Census Bureau, figures from the General Social Survey, and statistics from the Current Population Survey.
