Conclusion • Nutritional oxidative stress, or postprandial oxidative stress ensues from an imbalance between the reactive oxygen species generated and the antioxidative defence system. • Endogenous antioxidative capacity influenced by glucose-flux can be recovered immediately in young, but remains a low-level in elder without adequate supplementation of antioxidative vitamins. • The method employing a photosensitization technique would estimate comprehensively the endogenous antioxidative capacity, or the redox balance.
