THANK YOU!. From the children affected by Hurricane Sandy on Long Beach Island, NJ. Last summer, Seaside Park on Long Beach Island was a place where children played in sand and sea. Then Superstorm Sandy hit and all that changed. All that remains of the Seaside Park Amusement Pier.

Last summer, Seaside Park on Long Beach Island was a place where children played in sand and sea
Then Superstorm Sandy hit and all that changed All that remains of the Seaside Park Amusement Pier
After the flood waters receded, debris littered the gym at Beach Haven School Children had to go elsewhere for school until the mess was cleaned. They will not be back in their own schools until well into 2013.
Some families went to shelters They left practically everything behind
Eventually, the children returned to school, but at churches and other schools on the mainland. Many people donated supplies for the displaced and homeless children. But the children needed school supplies to use in their shelters and alternative housing.
Then the children of Madison Elementary School all the way in Pella, Iowa wanted to help. They sent five boxes of supplies! The NJ children could now have supplies wherever they called home.
The folks in NJ organized all the supplies and loaded them into the car.
The enthusiastic lady from the McKinney-Venta Displaced and Homeless Families office gladly accepted the donations!
Thank you, Madison Elementary School, for caring about the children in New Jersey!
