Daniels childhood Daniel hated happy books. If a book had a happy ending, he would toss it aside. Daniel preferred dark work like Ronald Dahl.
Daniel’s School • Daniel attended Lowell High School. It was a prestigious high school. • Daniel graduated in1988. • Then he went to Wesleyan University for college.
Daniels Career • Daniel started writing poetry and then won the 1990 poets prize. • Then he turned toward the longer form of fiction. • After graduating from Wesleyan College, he won an Olin Fellowship. • The funding allowed him to write his first novel.
Adult years • Handler spent the mid-1990s working on the novel. • He also worked on comedy sketches for a national radio show. • Then he moved to New York as a freelance book and movie critic. • The basic eight was published in 1999. • his next novel was watch your mouth and was published in 2000.
His inspiration!!! • Daniel’s inspiration was Edward Gorey. • The first book that he ever bought was The Blue Aspic by Edward Gorey.
Life Today!! • Daniel is married to Lisa Brown and had one child named • Daniel did not die yet. • He lives in a Victorian style house in San Francisco.
