EXAMPLE • Incorrect: Wally brewed a pot of coffee, that was too strong for Nancy. • It seems like there should be a pause in this sentence, but it actually makes the sentence confusing by breaking it into unequal parts. • Correct: Wally brewed a pot of coffee that was too strong for Nancy.
