The mininglawenacted on july 3rd, 2001 establishes : • Non differentiation of the mineral substances. • Open access to mining activities for any operator. • Equal treatment for all investors. • Stability of fiscal, legal and social conditions during the validity of the Mining Concession. • Assistance by ANPM to investors

  4. Exemption on professional activity taxes and on building property tax. • Exemption on VAT on goods specifically acquired or imported for mining activity. • Exemption on custom duties on equipment, material and products used in mining surveys. • Exemption on all taxes related to exploitation results, except the mining profit tax (IBM). • Depreciation of the prospecting and exploration costs in the case of exploitation. • Abatements of mining royalties according to exploitation types, surveying efforts and exploitation of locations. • Transfer warranty of the invested capital and resulting incomes. • Loss carry-over on 10 years. • Possibility for setting up a provision of 1% of the turnover (excluding taxes) deductible from the gross renewing for rebuilding the reserves.
