  1. Sup. Welcome to your first day of training on TEAM FRICTION. The name’s FRITZ. I’ll be your coach today.

  2. Prove yourself to us and you’ll be given this awesome ALERT WATCH! But we’re going to test more than just your super powers!

  3. Wait a minute. What is your super power again? Children can choose a new power every time they read. For the sake of this project I chose SUPER SMARTS!!

  4. Oh yeah! I forgot. I train so many people that I lose track. Only THE BEST have made it in, but with powers like yours, I’m sure you’ll be our next teammate!

  5. Oh! I forgot to turn on the light. With these eyes, it’s never hard to see!

  6. Some people say I have an “Electric” Personality.

  7. This is Fanboy3000, or just Fanboy, our super computer. He builds and fixes all our gadgets. He’s even recorded every person on the planet and given them a special number. We call it their Barcode Number, or “B number” for short.

  8. Team Viper: A Band of Lunatics bent on nothing less than world domination (and stealing our logo). They have secret bases and members on almost every continent. Their vicious attacks have to be stopped. THAT’S WHERE WE COME IN!!! On TEAM FRICTION, we work hard to protect the whole planet from the evil OF…. TEAM VIPER!!!

  9. That means the 2,000,000 members of TEAM FRICTION are responsible for everyone on EARTH. Are you ready for that responsibility?

  11. There are currently 6, 000, 500,000 Barcode Numbers in my database.

  12. If there are 6,000,500,000 people on this planet, how many is each one of the TEAM FRICTION members personally responsible for? TAKE SOME TIME AND FIGURE IT OUT!

  13. Remember: • Feel free to write down the problem on paper • When performing division, zeros are place holders so don’t forgot to include them in the right position in the answer • When dividing by 2, you will only need to subtract twice • Division is just repeated subtraction • You can do it

  18. There are bases on every continent except Antarctica. If we’ve built 42 headquarters in the continents left over , how many buildings were built in each continent. Oh yeah, by the way all the continents have an equal amount of buildings, we play it fair on TEAM FRICTION.

  19. Now you have 12 buildings left. you Can distribute them in groups of two because 6 and 12 are divisible by two. You should distribute t a group of five to each continent first You have four groups and ten and 2 groups of one There are 42 TF buildings in all There are 6 continents. How many times can you evenly divided 42 buildings amongst the six continents Each continent has an equal number of TF buildings You can break those groups of ten into 8 groups of five

  20. Hmmm… looks like there were 7 TEAM FRICTION Headquarters in every continent. That’s more than enough to deal with TEAM VIPER. My calculations indicate 7 facilities on each continental landmass.   21. *sigh* OK…We need to deal with them fast! Fanboy says that there are 12 of them. We have 36 members on duty right now. If we are going to deal with them fast and evenly, how many should we send to fight each VIPER?!?! THINK FAST!! DIVISION IS REPEATED SUBTRACTION SO… 36-12=?, and that answer minus 12 equals ? How many should we send out for each?

  22. 3?...hmm. We better check our answer. If we take away 3 from our 36 members every time we send people out to fight one VIPER…. ….BINGO!! We’d have them out numbered 3 to every one! I like those odds. And speaking of odds….
