  1. CINAHL http://www.ncmissouri.edu/library/

  2. Decide on search words or terms to start your research. Remember to keep terms together like “heart disease” use quotation marks.

  3. When using Boolean operator, AND, OR, NOT, you are telling EBSCO to limit your search results. AND limits the search so that all results contain all of your search words. OR broadens your search because you are saying any of the search words. NOT limits your search also.

  4. By clicking on the title I am able to see the author, source, subjects, abstract, etc. To continue on and see the article as it appears in its original format, click on PDF full text on the left side of the screen.

  5. The tools can make your life easier! You can add articles to a folder, print so you can read it later, email it to yourself, your instructor and your group members, and so much more!

  6. Citations are very important! You are giving credit to the author, creating a roadmap back to that information and protecting yourself against plagiarism. Click on the cite button and there is your citation. Be sure to check it over for punctuation and spacing issues.

  7. Be persistent and keep changing those search terms! • Questions? Call, text, email or Ask a Librarian…we are here when you need us! Geyer Hall First and Second Floor
