  1. Alaric Alaric was a very fierce Visigoth leader. He had a dream that he would take over Rome one day, and he made it come true. Alaric demanded Rome to surrender to him, and they did. His men raided many stores and houses of valuables, then burned them down. Alaric did say to not burn down the churches in respect. His soldiers gathered all the riches they could find, and left. Alaric was a very successful, and fierce leader of the Visigoths.
