- PANS PANSART Nuclear Science and Cultural Heritage:a travelling exhibition around Europe 2007 - 2010 This exhibition will presentapplications of nuclear science to study objects of cultural heritageso asto bring new insight into theirage,genesis,fabrication procedure, authenticity;to save these from damageof time; to know and tounderstand their history, the methods usedby the artists or the craftsman so asto help for their restorationandconservation procedures. Different techniques will be presented: an XR Fluorescence apparatus, themodel of an ion beam acceleratorwith its terminal set up and detection system for a non-invasive analysis of art byPIXE, PIGEetc, anda multimedia presentation for different dating methods Parallel events – Media invitations Students will be trained to run the exhibitions S.
