Bruce Piermarini - An Amazing Painter

Bruce Piermarini studied at the School of Visual Arts in 1975 situated in NYC and became familiar with the Color Field painters Larry Zox, Dan Christensen, and Ronnie Landfield. He was a graduate student at the Maryland Institute, College of Art, in Baltimore from 1978 to 1980. At this time, he was inspired by a conceptual artist named Salvatore Scarpita, and made a great number of amazing conceptual pieces such as exhibiting a canoe which had been crushed by a steamroller. After completing his degree, he joined those painters who later became the New New painters. The paintings he make leap out from every direction and are highly unique, sophisticated and every picture has a different concept.

  1. Bruce Piermarini - An Amazing Painter Who Is Immensely Skilled

  2. Bruce Piermarini who was born and spent his childhood in Leominster which is located in Central Massachusetts was the oldest of his siblings. In his early age, he has experienced such things which helped him decide his outlook. He worked in a factory after school where pouring molten plastics into moulds was his job. He also played in a rock band and a marching band where he played the saxophone, the organ, and the harmonica. In 1975, he studied at the School of Visual Arts which is situated in NYC and there he became familiar with the Color Field painters Larry Zox, Dan Christensen, and Ronnie Landfield. He always likes the styles of Larry Poons and Morris Louis.

After obtaining his degree from Maryland Institute, College of Art, he came back to his home in Massachusetts and joined those painters who later became the New New painters.

Every inch of his studio is decorated with new works. The paintings he make leap out from every direction and people has appreciated his work by calling it both thrilling and inspiring. His paintings are highly unique, sophisticated and every picture has a different concept.
