Bruce Piermarini was born in Leominster. He completed his graduation from the Maryland Institute, College of Art, in Baltimore in 1980. At that time, he was truly inspired by a conceptual artist Salvatore Scarpita, and created a number of wonderful conceptual pieces including exhibiting a canoe which had been crushed by a steamroller. He joined the School of Visual Arts in 1975 located in New York and became familiar with the Color Field painters. The paintings he make step out of the frame from every direction and people appreciates his work by calling it inspiring and thrilling. His paintings are very sophisticated, unique, and every picture has an amazing concept.
