  2. The Four Freedoms • The freedom to run the program, for any purpose (freedom 0). • The freedom to study how the program works, and adapt it to your needs (freedom 1). Access to the source code is a precondition for this. • The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbour (freedom 2). • The freedom to improve the program, and release your improvements to the public, so that the whole community benefits (freedom 3). Access to the source code is a precondition for this.

  3. Immediate Targets • Create awareness and promote acceptance in academia • Work towards a localisation effort for providing a Bangla version of GNU/Linux • Create a contact-base of subject-matter experts for supporing the above efforts • Act as a local contact node for all FSF related activities

  4. How You Can Help • Campaign for Free Software wherever you have access to decision-making procedure • Try to build up your own Free Software skills so you can be part of the voluntary support group • Join us.
