  2. Coding workshops • Coding is fast emerging as a sought-after skill amongst parents all around the world. More and more parents realize the immense potential of software development and want to give their kids a unique edge by giving them an early start in this field. You should have no trouble finding a coding class for your kids this summer where they will learn specialized software and pick up essential coding skills. You can even opt for a trial class, to begin with and then re-evaluate your decision.

  3. Opt for online courses • If you are amongst those parents who believe that their child shouldn't stop learning even during the vacations, you can always opt for online summer courses. These days, many leading schools offer unique classes that you can take online during vacations. Many coaching classes too offer these specialized training sessions where little children can learn new subjects, prepare for upcoming exams, and in general advance their knowledge from the comfort of their homes.

  4. Computer science camp • Believe it or not, but these days you can even find a computer science summer camp. Similar to coding classes, these camps are meant to be a slightly longer format where children from different parts of the country learn about computers in general. They pick up essential skills, learn how to work with software, operate and fix hardware, and in general, get a headstart in the field of computing. If your child loves computers, this would be the perfect summer activity for them.

  5. Sports camps • If you have a child who loves playing sports or is generally very playful but just hasn't found the right sport, sports camps can be a transformative experience for such kids. At such camps, contrary to popular belief, kids are encouraged to play and enjoy the process of playing without worrying about the result or outcome. Of course, their skills are honed and they are prepared to participate competitively as well but the focus is on ensuring kids fall in love with sports.

  6. Photography courses • These days, thanks to smartphones, everyone has a camera in their pockets and almost everyone has a budding photographer hidden somewhere inside them. If your child loves clicking pictures or has a fondness for cameras, you may want to encourage this particular interest. You can get them to sign up for a photography course and most neighborhoods have a bunch of these available locally. Such casual courses not only teach kids how to click better pictures but also encourage them to develop an artistic eye and a keen aesthetic.
