ROOFING MAINTENANCE TIPS
Inspect your roof twice a year from ground level, binoculars can be helpful, a neighbouring property may be a useful vantage point.
Trim ant branches that are hanging over the roof to prevent damage.
Have missing tiles slates or shingles reinstated before damage occurs to roof timbers or plaster ceiling.
Seal any cracked mortar or caulking around joints and chimneys, if it appears to deteriorate.
Sweep off excess debris on the roof. Sticks, leaves and other debris can damage shingles, cause algae to grow and eventually clog the gutters.
