Geoffrey Hinton, a prominent figure in artificial intelligence (AI), has called on governments to prevent machines from taking control of society. Hinton, known as one of the “godfathers” of AI, left Google in May to speak openly about the dangers of AI, particularly after the release of ChatGPT, a widely acclaimed AI model.
