  2. Lightroom provides a powerful method for organizing large numbers of photographs the way you want them

  3. Lightroom delivers a complete workflow for the digital photographer or scrap-booker for importing, reviewing, selecting and enhancing digital images all in one program.

  4. . These images can then then be turned into a slide presentation, emailed, exported, or organized into photo books and web galleries or made into high quality prints. The images may also turned into a slide presentation like this one.

  5. Lightroom is divided into several modules • The Library and Import module • The Develop module • The Map module (GPS information and view) • The Book module • The Slideshow module • The Print module • The Web module

  6. Library module-Import function • Import sources • Camera or Camera Card • Computer hard drive • CD • Portable hard drive or usb flash drive • Network Drive • Index either by date or topic during import • Apply metadata during import

After importing the slides are displayed in several different ways • Display individually in multiple magnifications or a grid • Compare two or more slides side by side or a small grid for a “Run Off “ • Select slide by several different methods then filter to display or create collections of your choice.

Develop Module • Modify Globally • Temperature and Tint • Exposure and Contrast • Highlights, Shadows, Whites and Blacks individually adjustable • Clarity, Vibrance and Saturation easily adjustable. • Modify locally all the above with gradients and spot adjustments • On image adjustments of Hue-Saturation-Luminance

Develop Module - continued • Adjust Noise and Sharpness • Can adjust locally and globally • Can adjust for many lens distortions automatically • Can provide extra correction for severe lens(image) distortion • Do special effects such as post-crop vignette and grain addition with adjustable size and roughness • Camera adjustments are modifiable creatively or for correction

Map Module • Search for GPS information for where a photo was taken • The found GPS information then be applied to one or more photos metadata • Can locate on the map from slide metadata and then apply it to other slides taken in the same area • The map can be expanded to show your travels and selecting photos taken there.

Slideshow module • Options • Stroke border width variable width and color • Cast Shadow with variable Opacity, Offset, Radius and Angle • Layout • Show or not show Guides with adjustable sizing • The Guides may be linked or not • Overlays • Identity Plate – adjustable scale, font, opacity, color and placement • Backdrop with color wash, background image and background color

Slideshow module - continued • Titles • Intro screen – Option of identity plate or other label • Ending screen of your choice • All labels fully modifiable • Playback choices • Sound or music of your choice with fit to music option for automatic pacing music • Select slide duration and fades • Random, repeat and preview all available

Print module • Layout Style • Single Image – same photo, different size • Contact sheet – different photos, same size • Picture package-same photo different picture sizes and number • – check layout presets on the left • Custom picture package – anything goes • Layout • Margins, grids, cell size • Color, Identity plate, watermarking and photo info all adjustable • Set up your print job, color profiles etc.
