Airspan and WiMAX • Airspan is publicly committed to a full migration to the IEEE 802.16 RevD (802.16d) • standard, and ongoing evolution to the proposed 802.16e mobile extension. • • Airspan will have five distinct WiMAX products; • – Now: AS4030, 802.16a migrating to 802.16d (Q4 04) • – 2005: Evolution of the ASWipLL and AS4020 Platforms • – 2006: Optimised WiMAX Products • • Airspan is a founding member of the WiMAX Forum and is represented on the • WiMAX Board. • – Leading player in 802.16, only vendor with a publicly announced commercial • 802.16 deployment • – Airspan is one of three “Strategic” developers working with Intel • – Will use Intel’s 802.16d/e Subscriber Station Chip in our low cost Indoor CPE. • • Airspan has an extensive R&D Team engaged in 802.16 Product Development • – R&D Programmes started in Q1 2003.
