  4. I did a survey asking 10 girls and 10 guys on campus a couple of questions. I picked out random people. I asked “How many sexual partners you do think a woman and man should have in their lifetime?” as well as “What would you call a woman and a man who had a one night stand?”I found some double standards such as, most the women felt that guys and girls should have the same number of sexual partners but the men answered differently. Most of the men put their numbers higher and women's number of sexual partners much lower than theirs. The biggest double standard I found was when asking “What would you call a women who has a one night stand?” everyone gave out mean names such as “slut” or names you wouldn’t want to be called to characterize the women. But when asking about men, it was more common for people to call them “normal” and another big one was “stud”. So there you have it. For doing the same thing, a women is called a slut and a man is called a stud.

  5. I wrote my song after doing the survey questions. After seeing the double standards from the results I got my motivation. I’ve seen these double standards with some of my friends and have been a victim of it. That is also how I got the lyrics for my song. I had some help, but the lyrics really just came from the heart.
