Children’s Services • Clowns and balloons. Toys, games and books galore. Walls decorated with paintings of the circus, zoo and underwater world. Thermostat-controlled water temperature in bathrooms. Medical equipment made and scaled down specially for kiddie patients. • Most importantly, professionals specially trained and skilled in kiddie care. People who choose to work with kids because they love kids. • Children aren't mini-adults and shouldn't be treated like small adults. Their anatomy and physiology, the kinds of illnesses they suffer from, and the ways they're treated are very different. • Children belong in a children's hospital. And that's what we're here for... to meet the needs of your child. • At the Children's Hospital, our every resource is dedicated to healing and fighting childhood illnesses - for babies up till 16-year-olds.
Women’s Services • At KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, much of our attention is dedicated to the growing medical needs of today’s women to provide the best care possible. • In this regard, we look beyond the patient’s immediate medical needs by providing holistic and seamless integrated care. We have set up one-stop centres to provide comprehensive services under one roof. The services range from diagnosis to treatment, and even emotional and psychological support.
Allied Health Specialties • Our Allied Health Specialties complement our medical expertise for a holistic view and approach to care for our patients. • We engage highly trained therapists, psychologists, dietitians, pharmacists and social workers, to look beyond immediate medical needs and ensure the overall physical and emotional well-being of our patients and their families. • Our Allied Health Specialties play a pivotal role in training the country’s allied health professionals and students in areas of women’s health and paediatrics. Our allied health professionals are constantly in pursuit of improved care for patients through collaboration and research for new treatments and practices.
Nursing • Our nurses play a very critical role in the care and follow-up for our patients. In addition to the clinical support they provide, they help to counsel patients on their condition, prepare and support them through their treatment, and train them on the use of medical equipment and aids necessary for their care. • They also play a key role in follow-up care, and informational support for patients and their families, managing our KKH Ask-A-Nurse service, training programmes and support groups for different medical conditions among women and children.
