  5. Issues in Healthcare • Low level of cultural awareness and training • Religious and cultural needs • Outreach work from health sector

  6. Issues in Employment • Difficulty to get employment and break into new areas • Discrimination in the work place • Provision for prayer times and religious festivals • Overseas qualification

  7. Issues with the Media • Negative portrayal of Muslim women • Diversity of the workforce • Need more positive portrayal of Muslim women and minority ethnic communities in general

  8. Recommendations • Section 75 equality duty • More compulsory cultural awareness and anti-racism training • Clear guidelines on race equality and practice
