Dichotomy – authenticity vs. compliance • Outcomes Committee – student learning outcomes used to improve teaching and learning • Ask challenging questions • Help students overcome hurdles • Improve curricula, instruction, and/or success • Our accreditors (ACCJC) – desire authenticity, but use numerical data to show proficiency
